Shine On met whilst studying at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM). This has instilled in all the members a professional and committed attitude towards live music. The band have varied musical experience and influences.

Shine On Bio Robbie Robbie - Drums / BVs

Drummer Robbie has been playing drums for 16 years, starting with rock bands in Worcestershire. After moving to Brighton he completed a degree in Music and became a full time musician and drum tutor. As well as rocking out with The New Few, Robbie also enjoys playing jazz and hip-hop.
Shine On Bio Ian Ian - Lead Vocals / Keys / Trumpet

Singer Ian has sung and played piano since the age of 6. He gave up a career in Pharmaceuticals to pursue music professionally and teaches piano locally. Ian has played piano on ITV's 'The X Factor' and has performed for TV adverts and at The Edinburgh Fringe with professional choir Blossom Street.
Shine On Bio Jon Jon - Bass / BVs

Jon's love of music once saw him busking on a balcony for 8 hours straight in Brighton! He has been involved with various bands over the years ranging from Reggae, Indie, Funk, Hip Hop, Soul and Metal. His versatility has seen him touring the UK and playing festivals such as Secret Garden Party and Kendal Calling. Apart from being trained as a Bassist by BIMM he is also a train Musical Theatre Singer (watch out Ian). Influences include James Jameson (Motown). Aston Barrett (Bob Marley) and Nathan East (Eric Clapton)
Shine On Bio Mike Mike - Lead Guitar / BVs

Brothers Jon and Mike both moved to Brighton in 2008 after growing up between Scotland and Canada. Mike started learning guitar at the age of 14 and he completed his degree course in Music in 2012. His varied musical taste includes Foo Fighters, Muse and Dire Straights.
Shine On Bio Andi Andi - Lead Guitar / BVs

Andi has been playing guitar for over 13 years and, after moving to Brighton to complete a music degree, he joined Shine On in the summer of 2010. Andi has played in numerous original bands and is experienced in performing a wide variety of musical styles. Some of his favourite guitarists are Johnny Marr, Jonny Greenwood, Graham Coxon and anyone who can make an sweet-sounding racket.
